With the rapid development of IoT, automotive systems, and smart devices, the demand for wireless communication continues to rise. From everyday navigation to precise industrial transmission, antenna performance directly affects signal stability and reliability. In this market environment, choosing an antenna solution that combines high performance and stability has become a key challenge in product design and development. This issue introduces ARGO's diverse antenna products to help you achieve optimal communication performance across various application scenarios.

An antenna is an electromagnetic energy converter that transforms high-frequency electrical signals in wires into electromagnetic waves in space and vice versa. It operates in two main modes:
-
Transmission Mode:Converts high-frequency voltage and current into electromagnetic waves radiating into space.*1
-
Reception Mode:Converts electromagnetic waves in space into electrical signals sent to the receiver.*2
*1When high-frequency alternating current flows through an antenna conductor, it generates alternating electric and magnetic fields. Due to the induction of magnetism by electricity and electricity by magnetism, these fields interact and generate electromagnetic waves.
*2 When external electromagnetic waves pass through the antenna, AC voltage and current are induced in the conductor, which are then restored to the original signal after tuning and demodulation.
Widely used in communication, broadcasting, radar, navigation, satellite systems, and more.

GPS Patch Antenna Commonly square-shaped (≥12mm), also known as “tofu-style” due to its flat square form. It has a large reception surface and high sensitivity, ideal for active antenna products.
Advantages: High sensitivity, fast satellite lock, strong anti-interference, suitable for long-term stable operation.
Applications: Vehicle navigation, outdoor positioning devices.

Patch Antenna for SDARS、XM、SIRIUS
|
SDARS antennas, also known as XM or SIRIUS satellite radio antennas, are specialized terminals for receiving digital audio services transmitted from space. Clear reception of these high-quality music and data requires a specialized antenna. SDARS satellite signals primarily operate in the 2.3GHz band (2326-2338 MHz). Unlike GPS, which uses circular polarization, the SDARS system uses linear polarization for signal transmission. Due to the long-distance satellite transmission, stable signal reception is crucial; any signal attenuation can affect audio quality. These unique signal characteristics necessitate the use of specially designed and optimized antennas for SDARS reception.
Advantages: Accurate satellite signal reception, stable audio quality, uninterrupted playback.
Applications: In-car satellite digital audio broadcasting.

Chip Antenna for Bluetooth
|
With the increasing popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT), various wearable electronic devices are becoming increasingly popular among consumers. Bluetooth technology is the most commonly used technology among all wearable devices. As wearable devices become increasingly smaller, the electronic components within them must also be shrunk. Our Bluetooth patch antennas are available in sizes ranging from 5.2x2.0mm to 2.0x1.25mm, allowing them to be installed in a variety of miniaturized devices without any mechanical conflicts.
Advantages: small size, low power consumption, stable short-distance transmission.
Applications: Smart wearables, IoT devices.

GPS chip antennas are another common GPS antenna type on the market. They are significantly smaller than patch antennas, roughly the size of a chip resistor. Due to their inherently small size, these antennas inherently have lower sensitivity, requiring meticulous back-end circuit tuning. However, the chip antenna's size disadvantage is also an advantage, as they can be incorporated into smaller products, such as wearable devices like GPS watches.
Advantages: miniaturized design, high performance reception, cost-effective.
Application: GPS devices with space constraints.
