A drain resistance (RD) restricts the current flowing through the quartz crystal to reduce the risks of accelerated aging or broken. 1. Frequency Accuracy

3. Negative Resistance

Description: Evaluates the healthiness of quartz crystal circuit by checking if there's sufficient negative resistance to sustain oscillation and identify whether startup risk exists.

Standard: At least five times higher than the Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) stated in the crystal specification.

Importance: Negative resistance is a critical indicator of quartz crystal circuits. Insufficient levels may prevent the oscillation or lead to unstable frequencies.
