Epson was originally established in July 1891, with the Epson brand officially launched in 1970. Since 1985, the company has expanded beyond its origins in the watchmaking industry into a wide range of fields, including printers, electronic components, semiconductors, MEMS devices, LCD displays, high-density packaging technologies, and industrial robotics. In October 2005, Seiko Epson merged with the quartz crystal division of Toyo Communication to form Epson Toyocom Corporation. This entity was reintegrated into Seiko Epson in May 2009. Today, Epson stands as the world’s largest supplier of quartz crystal products, renowned for its exceptional product quality and leadership in technological innovation.

All of its global sites have comply with ISO9001 and the automotive quality management system certification ISO/TS 16949.
